BIOGRAPHY

Heidi Wilson is an accredited communications practitioner, adjunct professor, entrepreneur and innovator! She grew up in a small town where her love for communications, storytelling, people and teaching began. 

Heidi currently works with a phenomenal communications team to keep stakeholders informed and tell the stories of amazing teachers in Virginia. 

She is the Creator of HWILSONPR - a public relations practice that aims to educate audiences about the business of public relations and how to leverage it to increase their income. Established in 2008, HWILSONPR collaborates on special projects for various organizations, small businesses, non-profit organizations and new entrepreneurs as they begin to build their brands. Heidi loves being a part of the birth of a new idea, event and business venture. Moreover, her services are heavily guided by the vision, goals, and expected outcomes of the organization. 

Heidi previously worked as department head of a communications - academic department at Virginia Union University. As department head, she managed all areas of operations and taught courses such as Social Media, Crisis Communications, Public Relations Campaigns, Event Planning, Public Relations Writing, Research in Public Relations and more. She continues to teach at colleges and Universities throughout the United States.

Heidi's most recent accomplishments include self-publishing her book, "Navigating Public Relations for Your Business" and becoming certified in online teaching through Newberry College. 

She uses her knowledge, skills and experiences to mentor, speak and teach in various spaces. Please contact her to collaborate.
