The Mass Communications Department at Virginia Union University was granted a charter to establish a Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Board of Directors.
Planned a one day professional development seminar for the TarHeel Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The seminar's theme was "Connecting to Success Through Public Relations."
Planned a career fair specifically for mass communications students at Virginia Union University titled, "Step Into Your Future" Career Expo. Students were able to meet and network with local media companies such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Radio One, IHeartMedia and more. The expo also included photography for headshots, catering and presentations from three alumni.
Worked as Editor of the UNIONWORKS magazine which is the magazine for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Virginia Union University. This magazine highlights faculty, students, departments and special programs within the school.
Assisted with planning an annual 400-attendee conference for tourism & hospitality non profit called International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education.
Established the first public relations agency on the campus of Virginia Union University called Panther Communications. Students who work in the agency are junior/seniors and are studying public relations. Students create professional campaigns for local businesses, companies and non profits.
